**Cook:** 20 minutes
What You'll Need:
- Cinnamon Roll Dough (store-bought or homemade recipe recommended)
- 1 10-inch cast iron pan
- 2 (8 ounce) packages crescent dough sheets
- â…“ cup Heavy whipping cream
- Sweetener of your choice
Ingredients for the Filling:
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup butter
- Salt (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Maple flavor
Directions:
- Open dough packages and unroll them to make a flat rectangular shape.
- Brush heavy whipping cream onto crescent sheets.
- Heavily sprinkle your chosen sweetener over the cream layer.
- Slowly roll up the sheets and cut into 1 ½ inch long pieces, placing them into the cast iron skillet so that it looks like the photo (refer to the recipe image for reference).
- Transfer the cast iron skillet onto the grill.
- Place a lid over the skillet to trap heat.
- Using tongs, place hot coals from the fire on top of the lid to create an oven effect.
- Meanwhile, place a small pot on a heat-resistant surface and add the sugar, cream, butter, and salt. Stir regularly to prevent it from burning at the bottom.
- Once it's reached boiling point, boil for 1 minute, remove from heat and add maple extract.
- After 25 minutes or once your cinnamon rolls are slightly golden on top, remove from heat, pour the maple filling on top, and enjoy!
